    thanks. Just read an article that now says can be seen from central U.S. Maybe the clouds in California will occult it for us.

    ... and no longer from Canada either. The original occultation had its narrow path running straight through Winnipeg (my home), but now it looks like I will need to catch a flight to Ft Lauderdale and a connection to the Turks and Caicos to see this thing.
