Now you know as well as I do Michael, galaxy season never closes! But agree it is useful to have other types of objects to enjoy chasing down to get some diversity.

Always a good plan Ralph. You want any traces of the sun out of your sky for some of those. IC 1257 and Pal 6 are difficult as well. Same with NGC 6380 in Scorpius. For some northern observers it may not rise above their horizon or at best be so low in the south that a light dome and atmospheric extinction eats it up. Good luck.

Hi Alan. A very nice set of interesting targets in your list. I guess the Globular Gallop series replaces your older DSOs of the week series. This works too, as I love the Globular Clusters. Now, if I could just get some clear skies here. We just finished a very violent electrical thunderstorm and rain this evening. I wish that we could give some of this water (four straight days of rain) to the folks in California. Thanks for posting this latest edition Alan, and the best of regards.

Thanks Marshall. Yes, this is the replacement series for the older DOTW. This one will conclude this fall (been running since last summer). I will be coming out with yet another series in time to replace this one. Always trying to think of ways to challenge folks and pique their interest.

Thanks for the targets Alan! As stated previously, once the giant glowing orb recedes a bit, I can finally go see something!
