    Default P46/Wirtanen goes naked eye

Just observed Witanen for the first time since 16 November. Full moon and weather have interfered. Much bigger in binoculars and a faint naked eye object maybe magnitude 5.5 - slightly fainter than omega Centauri.

Bit of broken cloud around coming and going. Might not set up he EQ mount.

Great stuff, Joe! Maybe by the time the rain and weather clears here it will be climbing a bit more northward. I've been looking forward to this one for some time. Anxious to try out the Lumicon comet filter and see if it benefits from the C2 lines detection.
