I've still got the original collimation screws in my 127eq but I find that when they're turned the main mirror doesn't seem to move at all. Is the thing completely impossible to collimate before you replace the screws? also, I'm using a cheshire collimator and the view I get of mirrors through it is the same as in my other scope which is a regular newtonian. Is it really impossible to collimate without modifying the internal barlow? From the looks of it if I can get the main mirror to adjust I should be clear to lining it all up.

siddiffsug's what do you mean by modifying the internal barlow, what i've tried is to take the corrector out of the focus tube

I feel your pain. I too have the same scope and the Collimation woes. I have removed the internal Barlow to aid in Collimation. After putting it back together the images I see are only in half focus. Hopefully at a star party in two weeks I can find someone to help me out. I hope you get yours figured out soon.

    Hi Relice 65

i did the same, i've removed the correcting lens from the focuser and using laser collimater i've almost collimated the mirrors, but once i placed back the corrector lens, i can see the my eye is not located at the middle of the secondary mirror + i can see an oval shape when looking inside the focus tube instead of circular shape. i'm getting crazy and dont know which of them should i trust , the laser collimator or my eyes

I realize this is a very late reply to your original post. Regardless! Thank you Niuno15!

I received this this scope as a gift about three weeks ago. Out of the box, thankfully, all seems to be in surprisingly good order with the several nights of viewing I've had thus far (i.e. no indication of a collimation issue)...and luck is not my strong suit. However, understanding the design of this scope and the typically problematic collimation procedure (backed up by a lot of internet smackdowns), I was a little worried should I...er, when I...need to do this. I feel a little more at ease.
