    Default Finderscope for Celestron AstroMaster EQ 114



    Can somebody recommend me good but not expensive finderscope to replace original red dot finderscope?
    I prefer infrared before optical.

    I assume you mean you would prefer another red dot finder instead of an optical one?

    This will work for you - use double-sided tape to attach to OTA or drill a couple of small holes for screws. You can also find this type of red dot finder on Amazon.

    I used to have the 130 version and yes the RDF is quite bad well thats what I found , any other finder will work 100% better , even the cheap RDF or the cheap optical ones , I would not spend too much on a RACI as its not needed on that scope

    I like Telrad Finder Sight but I don't know If it is possible to mount it to my AstroMaster EQ 114.

    A Telrad will mount to almost any scope, it's base is attached to the scope tube with 2 way tape. But it is quite large and takes a lot of space on the tube. Much larger than these red dot finders.
