    Default 1100HD on CGEM DX first photos



    Hi,

    Finally had a reasonable night ( except for the near full moon ). Didn't get to see much in terms of DSOs because of the moon so I decided to try some pics. Attached are a few of what I took. I used my Canon 7d with a T-adapter on the rear cell.

    Hi,

    Managed some more scope time tonight. Took this picture of the ring nebula. 2 1/2 minutes single shot, unguided, no post processing other than resizing for upload. Did a polar align with the scope and called it good. this again is my 7d and t adapter off the rear cell.

    Thats pretty darn good, looking forward to when you step it up later on. BTW, how did you resize it?
    CPC 1100 w/f6.3 reducer, ADM knobs & WO focuser, Coronado PST, Orion by Vixen 102, ES AR152,
    SV70ED (last new one in the world), Orion mini 50 guider w/helical focuser, 7x50, 12x60, 20x80, 15x70 binocs,
    JS binoviewers, CGEM w/Orion pier, ES 4.7mm, 6.7mm, 18mm, 28mm, TeleVue Delos 14mm.
    Accessories: Phottix wireless timer/remote, Orion sky glow imaging filter, Canon T4i, EF 50mm 1.8, EF 70-200mm f/4L, 1.4X extender
