Default Focal Reducers for Celestron Edge HD 800 and Edge HD 925

As many know I have been keeping close tabs on focal reducer availability for the Edge HD ota's from Celestron. Late last year early this year the focal reducers became available for the 11 and 14 inch HD optics....with no official word on the 8 and 9.25 inch models.

I was just browsing the 8 inch HD ota spec sheet at Celestron under the news tab for this OTA and did see article for CES 2012 where they mention that the 8 inch and 9.25 Focal reducers shoudl be released following release of the 11 inch and 14 inch model. This is good news for us 8 inch and 9.25 inch owners...hoping the price may be bit less than the the 11 and 14 inch focal reducers.

Heads up and with luck these shall be announced within next few months. Fingers crossed.

That is probably not too far off....Maybe just maybe they announce them at NEAF this weekend, highly doubtful....but wishful thinking. Maybe I should go to NEAF and have a word with them...lol....been debating attending it is about 2.5hr drive from my place. I thought I had read somewhere last fall that beta testers were testing the reducers for the 9.25 and 800 would guess release can't be too far off.

Unfortunately I can't make NEAF this weekend.... went the last 3 years both Saturday and Sunday yet never saw everything on any of the years..

I gotta go to Carlisle Pa as I need a couple of car parts for one of my projects in the garage..and my son is 90 percent done restoring his 68 SS 396 Chevelle and needs a few things himself.. and Carlisle is the place to find old, odd, or just plain hard to find car parts... and a weekend with son is special anyway

Carlisle car shows are the best, they have grown since I graduated high school there some time ago. Enjoy your weekend with son!
