Default Celestron advanced series on sale

Telescopes.com has the celestron advanced series on sale

C6 is 899.00 which is 100 off from normal
C8 is 1399.00 which is 130.00 off normal
C9.25 is 1799.00 which is 200 off normal
C11 is 2099 which is 300 off normal

The c8 looks pretty tempting at that price.

They also have a great deal, if you were considering an LX200: buy a 10"-16" LX200-ACF and get a free Coronado SolarMax 40. At $3600 for even the 10" it's not a spur of the moment decision, but it'd be a great bonus if you were already looking for a bigger SC.

Of course! I bought my C6 just last week at the local telescope store and paid the sales tax too.

Too much trouble to bring it back and then order from Telescopes. I do want to support the local guy as I can count on them if I have trouble.

Oh well, money....easy come, easy go! LOL!

Its the Celestron harvest moon sale and apparently it applies to most of the cats except the HD optics line.

Harvest Moon SCT Sale / Celestron.com

Is that my imagination or is that just a crazy deal on the high end pro mount series?

So then the sale is applied through the dealers, and it's up to them to lower their prices? If that's the case, a lot of dealers (including telescope.com) aren't applying the 10-15% compared to the full price. For example, the CGEM-925 is $2699 regularly and $2499 on sale. That's only 7.4%. On the other hand, the CGE Pro's are really discounted, and match telescopes.com's prices. Telescopes.com doesn't even have their CGEM's on sale. :P

Well I gave my local shop a call and asked them to do a price adjustment since I only bought it Friday, less than a week ago, and now Celestron reduce my model by $100.

Well, they agreed and is crediting me back the difference. My local shop did good!
