Default Problems with dual dovetail, plate solve

I usually have one scope on my mount, facing north when home. I put a dual dovetail and removed the scope. One side has a camera with a lens, the other side has a guide scope. I rotated dec 90 degrees so the lens points north at home.

I plate solve, and then try to center but the mount points below horizon and east, when it should point west and up maybe 70.degrees

I have used this setup over a year ago with no issues to play solve...any ideas?

Thanks and I hope this makes sense

what mount do you have ? it's been awhile side i've done a side by side, i have you tried parking home with the clutch disabled then do a star alignment with the clutch still undone for the first star ,once you have manually aligned the first star then tighten the clutch and go to the next star and align with the slew controls on the computer.

I managed to figure it out lol. For whatever reason, eqmod like reset itself to maybe default? First the mount wouldn't even turn on....something a out a com port ( I'm not great with computers, so imagine the frustration after having the rig work fine for 2 years)

Fixed that, then the plate solve worked but would slew to a completely different part of the sky to center on target....turns out, it was the lat/longitude. I needed to put my coordinates etc....managed to get some data on m51 ( very wide field, but I have a huge tree to the south, so not much for southern targets....)

    Anyways, thank you for helping!
