    Default Sharpcap and SBIG cameras

I use sharpcap with my ZWO cameras and recommended it a friend. He has a SBIG OSC camera and when he tried to use sharpcap it doesn't recognize the SBIG.
Is this a shortcoming of either the SBIG or sharpcap?

You can see the list of supported cameras here: Supported Cameras - SharpCap

SBIG is not included in the list.

Should check out sequence generater pro, should be compatible, i reckon it's a little slower but the features are better. The free veraion should be functional to your needs

Default Re: Sharpcap and SBIG cameras

SBIG cameras come with CCDOPS for capture. They are supported by most of the major capture programs. They also have been around a lot longer then SharpCap. I would also consider SBIG cameras much higher quality than ZWO.

This is from the Diffraction Limited web site (SBIG):
"SBIG encourages and supports third party software development. Please e-mail us to request access to our Software Developer page."

    So I wouldn't blame SBIG.
