I live in Burlington but always make the drive to KW Telescope as their service and prices are usually the best around in Southern Ontario.

I just had a really good experience with Focus Scientific. They couldn't get me a manual 14" Sky-Watcher until spring so they gave me a really good deal on the SynScan one they had in stock and got it to me from Ottawa to Saskatchewan in a week. I was really impressed with the service.

Recently purchased my first telescope, from KW telescopes. I first phoned them, to discuss purchasing the Celestron Nexstar 6se. The owner, Brian, was very patient, helpful, and thoroughly answered all my questions. He then quoted me the lowest price I could find ($949). It was an hour's drive for me, but worth it. The store is large and the staff are very friendly. They ensured I had the mandatory accessories (portable power, dew cap) and they advised me to not purchase too much else until I have a chance to use the scope and find what I want. I'll definitely be purchasing my additions from them (and at a cheap shipping cost, they said).

How is Canadian telescopes and their after sale support? They have decent prices and free shipping.

Does anybody have any advice on buying in BC? Preferably the Thompson-Okanagan region. Or Vancouver/lower mainland failing that.
    Thanks, Max
