1. Useful sct optical alignment tips

    I would like to pass these useful SCT tips along to anyone new to this type of telescope, or current owners who are not familiar with how the optical train works.

    It concerns the proper alignment of the Primary, Secondary and Corrector.
    This is important stuff if you want to avoid the impending horror story of a spinning secondary holder or spinning corrector and not knowing how to fix it.

    After reading countless threads on reflector collimation on many forums, I decided to put together a little blog on "Laser Collimation Basics". There is more than one way to successfully collimate a reflector, so this guide is geared more for beginners than seasoned astronomers. It is a necessary skill for reflector owners, but it is not difficult and can be performed by anyone of any skill level. Don't panic and don't be scared of the procedure. You cannot hurt anything.
