Here's my report on this year's Perseid's meteor shower which promised to be an excellent one in North America because it would be a moonless night. Coupled with cool, dry, and clear skies, it was the perfect opportunity for me to try my hand at astrophotography. Well, I should have done some more research on this subject because I just winged it.

I saw about 2 dozen meteors in 2 hours and captured only 3 decent shots with my Canon T3i and my EF-S 18-55 mm STI lens kit. I had no idea what to do in any of the "manual" modes. In the end, I just went with the "No Flash" setting on the dial and captured at least 2 streaks of light. I know better next time. Here's a video of my experience that night. Thanks for watching.
