    This has been the craziest weather I have ever experienced in my 12 years in the high desert. When I first moved here, the heat was what I worried about. Clouds were something like this, "What are clouds?"

  2. Remembering my first telescope

    I was remembering my first telescope. All I remember was it was a very small aperture reflector of around 3 inches. My parents purchased it for me, back in the 1960's, and from that moment on, I was hooked on astronomy.
    I searched the internet for information on this telescope, though, being so long ago, it was very difficult to remember it, other than it was small, had a tripod with a stirrup mount and some kind of adjusting screw, and oh yes, it was white.

    I couldn't find an area on the forum to post just my general observations and other antics in astronomy, so I guess this might be the place.
