With my missus it is not about the pocketbook. Somehow she got this crazy idea that there is a limit on number of scopes in the house and I am way above that. Playing the birthday card I barely managed to get 127mm Mak and AzGTi mount this year, but have to chill it for a year or two.

How many pairs of shoes does she have?

Do you have a man-shed/garage? Boy-toy storage area away from the house? Is there a limit to the number of scopes there? Out of sight, out of mind...

I would be in serious Poo-Doo if there were a limit to the number of scopes (unless that were an ASTRONOMICAL number )

But hey, I am selling a scope to help fund the binocular scope, so the number remains the same (for now).

Like your thinking Dean! Unfortunately we live in a two bedroom condo with two scopes proudly displayed in the living room and the rest occupying various drawers and chests. Mounts live under the bed and my EP cases are piled up next to my son's collection of airsoft guns. So, I can see how it could be a bit annoying. But she is supportive of our hobbies and even floated idea of renting a spot at Anza to built an obsy. So, can't really complain.

That's California! For the price of our condo we could buy a couple of houses with lots elsewhere. Can't beat the weather though, and the desert pretty much ideal observing location.

Exactly! Mine are stored in the scope shed. My wife is perfectly aware of all of my scopes but she has never seen them all together. If she did I would probably get slapped.

Sounds like you have done pretty well then: with (at least?) 6 scopes, 5 mounts, 3 binos and almost enough extras to fill JG's "sock drawer"! I do see room for extra binos though...
