    Hello AsteroidsRock,
Thanks for your reply, but if there is a possibility of a problem with them I think I'd be better served with something different.

Oberwerks 15x70s LW come collimated from the factory.
I recently purchased a pair of 9x60s. Excellent hand held binoculars.

Ditto on the Celestron 15x70 as well. They get the most use of my binos. I got mine on sale for $75 many years ago here in Canada

    Hi Abb,
Thanks for your reply. I read some reviews and they sound like a great pair of binoculars. The collimation [problem?] and price are my concerns. Will have to continue to see what's out there.

Yes, another good affordable pair. I have these as well. They are my go everywhere pair. In addition to many star filled nights, they see a lot of time in the kayak on the rivers and lakes.

    Hello Ozman13/Pauls72,
    Thanks for the suggestions.
    Pauls72,
After checking on E-bay I was giving some consideration to going to Wal-Mart to see what they had. I figured that would be the most convenient as I could try a pair and if they weren't up to snuff it would be easy to return them. With your suggestion I have a starting point.
    God Bless You both,
    Joe

Sounds like a good plan. Just make sure to try at night. If the views are sharp and you don't see double stars you are all set.
