there is something wrong with this question!!!!

first of all, you are going to want to change the word "astrology" to "astronomy" or else you are going to get a lot of angry answers from people on here. it's not that they are mad at you, they are just irritated how the word astrology ends up in an astronomy forum so many times!

for binoculars, you want to decide if you want porro prism or roof prism. roof is lighter. porro collects light better.

i think the best information guide to binoculars i ever read was in the June 2001 issue of Astronomy magazine, aptly titled "Everything You Need to Know About Binoculars." (by Phil Harrington). i would suggest reading up on this (or a similar guide) before jumping into binocular stargazing. but i am very excited for you! binoculars are the greatest grab-and-go apparatus in the history of astronomy!

Moderators Note: I fully understand the sarcasm over the Astrology title, but Michelle has corrected herself with the word *ASTRONOMY* at the bottom of her post, so lets stay on topic and help her out here.

I have the Orion Scenix 10x50 and I like them. They give decent views and they were only about a hundred bucks (u.s.).

A very good site is garrettoptical.Garrett Optical . The site has allot of information and they carry all sizes of binoculars as well as mounts. Garrett Optical is a joy to do business with and they have above average customer service! Google Garrett Optical, I can't post the URL because I am new and don't have enough posts.

You soon will, Tony. You need to check the date upper left. This post was from last October.

BTW , I nuked the X-ray telescope thread as not being funny enough, and your reply, which was funnier, btw, was collateral damage.
