Several have called them "light buckets"......I agree.....a lot of bang for the buck....nice build.... good quality....the majority of users have raved on them....I will too...tons of fun for not a lot of money....

Mine arrived today. They will take some getting used to. Not exactly opera glasses! Now for a break in the solid overcast. Always hopeful, Bob

After accepting the fact that the 25x100's overwhelmed the tripod I thought would handle them, I ordered a tripod that could do the job. It was scheduled to arrive Sat. but due to snow and freezing rain it arrived today. Zhumell's Astronomical Tripod appears to be up to the job. Once balanced the set up is fairly stable. A true test is dependant on the weather, which continues to be lousy. Seems like forever in the holding pattern. But with not much else to do, I'll wait. Hopefully clear skies, Bob

Well I ordered one on Saturday, and should get it today. Of coarse the weather is bad, for what seems like a week now.

Well as expected, the weather sucks, but so far all I can say is the binocular looks good, and arrived well packed. I will check clear aperture, and collimation
    latter today.

This bino gets rave reviews in astronomy related forums. But why so many bad reviews on Amazon. Perhaps binocular of this size requires self collimation.

I've read a lot of reviews on the Zhumell Tachyon 25x100 bino's.....mostly pretty good to exellent...a very good value.....they don't pretend" to be high end, but for most folks the performance is much more than enough to get a lot of fun out of them......the high end bino alternatives would cost more than a pretty good telescope.....there are quite a few discussions on collimating binoculars @ the Cloudy Nights site...I haven't felt up to it <yet>....here is one link I had saved for future reference on the subject....Telescope Reviews: Need Binocular COLLIMATING or Repair?

So far, the binocular it is great. The weather, and clouds at night have been a pain. What little I have seen so far this is a fantastic deal for so little money. The clear aperture is about 97 mm, and
culmination is very good. No it is not Swarovski, but I was non expecting that. This will see deep, and show stars were none are in a good 70mm binocular.
    Its a keeper.
