    Default Making a Tile Tool

    Hi Guys,
I am preparing for grinding my 8" blank. I read that using a tile tool is a good option.
I wanted to know what types of tiles can I use. I checked the local store, but I don't think that the regular bathroom ceramic tiles can be used. They are just glazed on one side and are amorphous inside.
The guys offered me Vitrified tiles
and also something called glass mosaic tiles.

These tiles are uniform throughout their thickness.

    Can I use these?
What about their softness compared to the glass that I am grinding?

    Thanks in adv

hi GSB for a small mirror you can use a solid glass tool or go to all the trouble to make a tile tool, small mirrors are not a problem if you use solid plate glass, ive made many this way
