    Anyone did try some protective coatings against oxidations over the silver surface ?

    Any suggestions ?

    I've never tried it, but there is a procedure mentioned in the famous book titled How to Make a Telescope. Jean Texereau.

    Maby a thin diluted varnish on a turning mirror to get a thin even coating.
