I hope you heal quickly... I had my knee worked on last Sept. but I only needed the cane for a couple of weeks and I gradually worked back from there...

The shoulder is better, not great, but better. And if I don't get something done on the project I'll go crazy.

Bought a new tripod for the camera (the old one had died). Zomei 818 with a 39.5 payload capacity per the catalog that arrived with it today. Ought to work ok with the p-mount. Idle time and me and Ebay are a bad combo. Just ask my wife.

I'll see what I can get done tomorrow.

Yes I agree idle time and eBay can be devastating. Let us hope that shoulder gets better so you do not have to go stir crazy....

Got a little done. Prep for the circle cuts for the tripod base and a couple of layers actually cut including the most challenging cut; the two ring cut. Had to use nails on that one, not just the two sided tape. I like the plywood layering. I think it'll look sharp once it's finished.

As I said before I use the Jasper jig for the circle cuts.

Need a 1/8" hole for each center as a pivot point for the jig.

Then a good backing of double sided tape.

The sacrificial base was secured to my woodworking bench. Low cost ACE model, but it works.

Not a lot but the shoulder was complaining so...

I also glued and squared up the vertical support. The tall center piece is a slip fit. I'll secure it with 5/8"dowel pins later.

Oh ... I finally added an avatar picture. One of my cats, Kulei. In one of his 'gotta love me' poses. The name is the word for 'gray' in the language Sranan. We got him from and independant rescue group with his sister a few years ago.

I've been away for a while but now I'm back. Suffered a mild stroke in Feb but on the mend now. I had some peripheral vision loss on the left ( both eyes). I promised my wife I'd give up woodworking ( I guess one frantic trip to the ER was enough). So I sold all my power tools. with the proceeds I'll soon be getting some Oberwerk 25x100's IF. I 've got a Farpoint UBM on order.

Needless to say The P-Mount build Is over.
