I have been experimenting a bit with my recently bought Galileoscope. If I put a 2X Barlow lens, or the unscrewed bottom lens from the 2X Barlow, in front of the star diagonal, it is possible to reach focus. It worked quite well when I tested it this morning.
As far as I know, if I put a 2X Barlow lens in front of a star diagonal this will give me something like 3X. Does anybody know what the result is when I unscrew the bottom lens from the Barlow and screw it into the front of the star diagonal? If I put it on an eye piece it will give me 1.5X.
My guess is that the result of putting the bottom lens on the front of the diagonal will be something like 2.25X. Anybody with a better estimation?
