Thumbs up Had to show my DIY finder upgrade

I was reading some info on Astro photography and trying to absorb the advice. One piece was keep an eye on the object during long exposure and make adjustments accordingly the only real way to do this is through the finder, using the GEM system is great but they are notoriously inaccurate albeit in small degrees. Can you imagine having your eye glued to the finder for a 60 min exposure just to make the incremental adjustments.(ouch) Far easier if you can keep your eye on this on your computer screen in a second window to monitor the finder information. Hence an inexpensive web cam from ebay. The photo's tell the rest of the story.

Good on ya, Pete! Have you had it out for a run yet? Love to hear more, i.e., if any refinements are desired/needed such as illuminated reticle, off-axis adjustment, and suchlike. Do let us hear more, please...
