    Default DIY guide rings

I first tried to make the rings out of hardwood but they ended up splitting so I decided to try a 4" PVC coupler cut in half as my rings. I added a wooded base for stability when attaching and added liquid plastic to the end so not to scratch up the WO66.

One of these days I will get real guide rings and bar, but this works right now.

Those should do the trick. Only thing I'm not sure of is the bar itself. From the photo it appears to be just flat strap. If so you might get a bit of flex from it.

I have thought about making a set of rings out of an aluminum pipe basically the same idea as yours. I have an ADM mini dove tail on top of my sct and ADM makes the little mounting brackets for it. If one had the right size of pipe and a way to cut it, rings could be made really easily.

    Thanks for sharing yours.
