    Default schmidt camera project



    hi, im new here..i projected to build a 260\300\1200 schmidt camera..i read anything possible on the web, an i read also atm 1,2,3 and atm advanced..i understood the most difficult part it's the corrector plate..can someone help me to find the best way to grind, polish and figure the corrector plate?

    Have you built a telescope before? Obviously it's not impossible to grind your own corrector plate, but it might be something you'd want to try after already having built a Newtonian or other simpler scope. I haven't heard of anyone on these boards trying something similar, but you might be able to find a yahoo group or someone who built their own Schmidt corrector before.

    it's what i'm tryin to do here..hahah..anyway even if i'll not be able to grind a corrector the first time, i can still do anything with a spherical f.2 30cm mirror..
