    Default Diy 12" sct

Got quite a bit of interest in the Welcome page for this project of mine so will start documentation of "What I did" here if there are no objections.

First off, the optics are commercial Meade Lx200 from a parted out scope.

I'll start with last nites images....

    C8, CPC8 w/Fastar, 2xQ3.5, 2xLX200 classics, one with 12" Homebrew hardware, Nexstar 4si,6" homebrew/ground Newt, Meade SN10 and a BUNCH of project OTA's.

I would also like to note that the Moon was shot using a T-mounted Panasonic G1 at ASA 3200 with a 25mm Meade Plossl, eyepiece projection.

As I recall, the scope had been left out in the rain for a significant time and had major corrosion going on. The seller was doing a restore on the mechanical and was selling the optics to put in custom optics of some type. This was last year sometime, as I have been ruminating on this project for quite awhile.

I have to tell you that is one fine DIY project & was totally worthy due to the optics you had to work with. Id LOVE to have something like that to tinker on. Good luck with your other projects.
