Nice logical process for explaining FRB's. I'm not sure how it would explain FRB's that repeat though. I'll take a shot...

    1. Galactic SMBH that used to be an active quasar.

    2. Stellar environs surrounding the Galactic SMBH we're highly ionized during it's active phase.

    3. Stars orbiting GSMBH accumulate charged haloes over time.

    4. Charged haloes form based on TIME spent in the charged environs, independent of the mass of the star.

    5. A gravitational disturbance sends a cluster of stars on a near plunging orbit.

    6. Gravitational interactions in the cluster send stars on truly plunging trajectories.

    7. Stars of different mass would plunge with similar intensity FRB signatures because the process that formed the charged haloes accumulated over the fixed time that the cluster was in the ionized environment. Not because the mass of the star was driving the ion accumulation.

So you would have a source of similarly charged stars on potentially plunging orbits into a SMBH, that from our perspective, would seem to repeat FRB'S of similar brightness closely in time.

    Regards,
    Seeker

    It's a reasonable scenario, AFAIK.
