Nice link with some fun reading.

I especially liked this: Chandra Press Room :: Deepest X-ray Image Ever Reveals Black Hole Treasure Trove :: 5 January 17

And the letter from the 10 year old was very amusing.

Although the spelling is questionable the idea is right!

I'll post more daily summaries. Who would've thought they'd be so amusing?

    Hello n_F_A,

could you please expand on the low entropy state around the Big Bang, developing into the Lumpy Universe we are living in? I dont wont to start a lengthy discussion, just to update my understanding.

    Thanks,

    JG

Very few parameters are needed to describe the state of the universe early on. It's all a uniform gooey mix in thermodynamic equilibrium at very high temperature. As lumps develop and things fall out of thermodynamic equilibrium, even though the temperature is falling one needs more information to to describe the universe. Information and entropy are related.
