Default RAW ... Wasted sooo much time!!! Help?

Took some raw photos at the beach of milkyway... cant open, cant convert, read how to edit but my program sucks... my 10 year old girl helped me... so great memories... goal is to get 3 to 5 of the good ones to look a little like the internet photos... but not expecting too much as the originals were on samsung 7 pro settings 10 seconds, iso 800 and wb @ 5500. did get 2 of them converted to quality jpeg using online converter but the file wont save(thats how they get you!)

Will someone preview and eliminate all but 3 or 4 or 5 best. then edit to look better... not expecting internet results... just good memories. then let me pay a fair price for each?

    Please help?

    Thank you,

    Scott Maze Stockbridge GA

I dont check email every day but will follow up in a couple days ish...

    Hello Scott!

Unfortunately, this forum is in the throes of a major spam attack and is suffering from many broken functions. As a result, the bulk of the active membership has relocated to a new forum that is secure and works.

    Scott,
The image upload part of this forum has been broke for about a year now.
If you can put them in a drop box and then post a link to it, I will take a look at them.
FYI: Cell phones are less than ideal for doing astrophotography.

    Thank you Paul,

I dont have a drop box but would be willing to get one for some help.

I think only 2 or 4 RAW photos are worth having...

tell me how to get a drop box that you are familiar with.... and I will proceed.

The cell pnone was what I had available when we saw the milkyway at the beach...

I want these few phjotos as memories... if possible.

    Thank you,

    Scott Maze

    Thank you again Paul!

These files that I can see in jpg that look promising are,,,

202036(looks best jpg), 202128(rotate 90 deg clockwise), 202245, 202611, 202745(90deg clockwise), 203305(my little girl on the chair we used to prop the phone), there was also one that I took but no jpg that has the oil rig in the water, small rig to right, jupiter above small rig, and red star at 4pm diagonal to jupiter that was really nice and some milkyway on the left. (it was one that I saw with a free RAW convert, but could not save it.

You can see the ones that I cant... let me know what looks ok... worth tinkering with...

    I got Dropbox and uploaded...

    Hi Paul,

I just looked at your pictures... WOW!

almost embarassed to send the dropbox link! ; )

Well, You will see I told the truth, just used what we had on the beach and followed some google instructions... but I still hope there is something that can be tweaked for a little color or splash on the milky way... just memories for me and my little girl...

Thanks again and I will send the dropbox link as a reply to your email... rmanzel843391@gmail.com

    Hi Scott,

    I converted all to jpeg.
I went and did some processing on a few. There isn't very much data to work with, so the results aren't that good.
There is one that I submitted to astrometry.net to have plate solved so the constellations are marked on it.
