They announced a big new release, and now their website, the downloads section, and the forum is down.

Refractors kick arse precisely because they don't hide behind excuses. That is, they have no obstructions to hide behind.

I managed to download the new release yesterday, but was unable to access the license reactivation portion of the website. Seems like they have a problem with their secure server.

Now I'm glad that I am a procrastinator.

I am a great believer in not upgrading software unless I have to. I still run Windows 7. I broke my own rule and upgraded SGP last time they had a major release, only to discover a month later that they wanted my to pay a new licence fee. So I went back to the old "ain't broke" version.

Yeah, I tend to be an 'early adopter' --- that way others can learn from my mistakes
I of course keep all my previous releases and so I reverted back - had to do that on many occasion with SGP.

It's fixed. It was just a problem with an overloaded server.

I figured the server was having some "coping skills" issues...
I'll wait a few days until those who must live on the :bleeding edge" have finished updating...
