Default Lrgb or narrowband color mapping in Photoshop (link?)

    Hi,

After using Photoshop with my processed single image from StarTools, I am now curious to use Photoshop more.. mainly for color.

My question is this: does anyone have a great link ( preferably step by step instructions) to add single lrgb or narrowband greyscale images, processed without color, then added into Photoshop in the correct color map/palette, etc...then combine those( also in Photoshop)? I have carbonis astrotools? But have issues with them sometimes...

I simply want to know how, once I open the, let's say Ha, oiii, and sii separate images in Photoshop, how would I map them to rgb and combine them into a single image?

I'm sure it's easy, I just have been Google searching and am having a hard time finding that...

Any help is appreciated and I hope my question makes sense...

Hi Adam. Here is a good PS link that I use. There is a lot of info here but for your specific question, scroll down to "using clipping masks to create colour images".

Thanks Scott, highly appreciated. As much as I love StarTools, I think I wanna do post StarTools color in Photoshop. I'll check it out!

Don Goldman has a decent tutorial on combining narrowband here - https://astrodonimaging.com/tutorials/. I tend to combine it with Bob Franke's green to gold (for lack of a better term) tutorial here - Creating Hubble Palette Color Mapped Images. I created actions out of both of these in PhotoShop so all I need to do is paste the Ha, OIII and SII images on top of each other as layers and hit a button.
