Default Updated: Flat Frame Light Box Using an Electroluminescent Panel

I had to make some adjustments to my flat frame light box, which allowed me to take pictures of the inside of the box as well as some other photos to help illustrate the process in case anyone wanted to make one themselves. I like to keep things simple, which helped me complete the project in about 3 hours. I wrote about my process here:

If anything does not make sense, let me know and I will updated it.

    Hi Eagle,

That's a great instructional link. I was looking at the Elluminglow website and they have a 14" and a 5" circular EL panel. To make a light box for my 11" SCT could I get away with using the 5" EL panel to illuminate the diffuser screen that would have to be 11" in diameter. I ask this because I'm unsure how much light the EL panel emits and whether it is bright enough to evenly light an area (the diffuser screen) that's nearly 5 times the size of the panel? The next option is the 14" panel and to me that's overkill, plus it will make the box too big!

Once again, nice job and thanks for sharing,
    JT

Thanks...I not sure how it does not pick up defects in the paper but I try and use paper that does not have any marks on it. I remember after I put a sheet of paper over on the diffuser panel and I noticed a black spec in the paper so I just replaced it.

The defects could not be detected or they could average out when I make a master flat.
