Default Flat Frame Light Box Using an Electroluminescent Panel

    Flat-Box-5.jpg

Last week I built a Flat Frame light box using an Electroluminescent Panel. I could have used LED's but the EL Panel made it much easier for me to since I am not that handy. I posted my process on my website if you are interested. Let me know if anything does not make sense or if you have questions and I will update the page:

    Hi Eagle,

Thank you for posting that link and all the work you put into both the light box and the presentation that directs and diagrams the build. Nicely done. I'd also like to know if you see a difference when you include the flat frames into your stack.

    Thanks again,
    JT

You are welcome, JT! I have yet to process any images with the flats yet but I will post a before and after shot once it is done. I know my current images suffer from dust motes and some light vignetting so hopefully this will help. I have my eye on M63 tonight

Thanks for posting this. I will definitely take a look! My flats sometimes come out good sometimes come out worthless. I would definitely like to find a consistent way to make them.

I have to admit...I was a little intimidated about making a light box. The major aspect that turned me off at first was trying to figure out the circuitry but then I came across the EL Panel so that make the project easier for me. I did not know if it would work after all was said and done but I went for it. I just tried out the flat box in the field last night and it worked out great!
