    Default Which program

Hi guys, during the Venus transit I took 300 photos 15sec apart. I was wanting to make a video out of all these picture and was wondering what is a good program for doing this. Thanks everyone.

If you have Photoshop, or Photoshop Elements, most of the later versions have a 'Save For Web' function that can convert a series of images into GIF format, and save the stack as an animated, web-viewable GIF.

Other alternatives include Windows Media Manager or iMovie (Mac OS X) to create a time-lapse sequence of JPEG images that blend together (can be done a variety of ways) to create an AVI, WMV, or MOV file (depending on your tool/app and OS).

With Linux the easy tool of choice is 'FFmpeg' on the command line -- actually I think that app is available on Windows/Mac as well.

FFmpeg IS available for Windows although I have not used it for this purpose. I am really interested in seeing the final movie as well, we had a completely overcast day over where I live.
