Welcome to the 1st Astronomyforum.net Astrophotography Challenge contest!
Here's the plan:
As many of you know we have posted 2 Astrophotography processing challenges and asking our members to give a shot at post processing a 'Challenge image'. We have taken those images and created a set of polls to vote on the best attempt by a AF.net member. Some of these images may be by the same member who did a few different post processing techniques (that's Okay!).
Since our forum polls have a 20 limit and we had 39 entries we had to create 2 polls (see links). What we will do is let the membership vote to pick the best image. Please only vote for one image (just one so please look at both polls and pick the best to vote for!) The image with the most votes will be the winner. If there happens to be a tie we will have a run off poll, and should the runoff happen to end in a tie the moderators will make the final decision to pick the winner.
The polls will be open for 2 weeks and the winner will be posted once they close.
Take your time to look through these images before you place your vote. Our members did a fantastic job of post processing and spent considerable time attempting to achieve the results you are looking at!
Now the good stuff!
Ivo from StarTools will be donating a free license for his StarTools software for the best completed Challenge image, one license will be awarded for the best post processed Challenge image from Challenges 1 and 2 so your vote is very important!
