How To Document & Post Your Processing Steps from History Photoshop CS and Gimp Software

    For Photoshop

    do the following:

    go to:
    Edit > Preferences > General.
Check the box for History Log
    Check SAVE Items to BOTH
    Check Detailed
Choose the location of your log file - make a note of it

Example screenshot below from PS CS4:

then Open the log file after processing an image (it gets big so you can do a CTRL+F to search for the filename)

Please paste in your log results from opening to finishing processing

Please post your Log of processing straight from the history in your post into both the open image processing threads and the monthly image processing competitions!

in GIMP or other software Programs there are only several options:

    1) record in Camtasia studio or similar screen video saving program
    2) print screen when displaying your history and post with your edited photo (save as PNG-8 file of ~800x800 pixels as it is very small and easy to upload)
    3) type in Wordpad or Text editor while editing in GIMP or other programs and paste in your post
