A Template and Information for Posting Your Image for Open Processing by the Community!
In order to get your image edited and processed by others in the community please do the following it only takes a few moments of your time, and you can get improved results quickly for the power of over 60,000 members of the community!
To start
1) create a new thread in the Image Processing Forum by clicking here:
2) Select "Open Image Processing" next to title form.
3) Type in a Relevant Title ie M42 Orion Nebula Post-Processing How To
4) include the following template in your post by copying & Pasting the below between the dashes:

Location of Capture: Bortle Scale:
Capture Equipment Information:
Camera & Settings Information:
Software Used to Capture & Stack:
Stacking Information
#frames: Total Time "": Darks / Flats / Bias :
Final file information #bits: format/type:
Note: Users downloading the file(s) and/or modifying them must retain identification to the original capturing poster / author in either the photo or in your subsequent posts / derivative works.
Please note capturing authors have embedded identifying information in the raw data / photo.
Released under the CC 2.0 Attribution License (or choose yours)
Users downloading and processing the resulting post-processed image must upload the image as a JPEG file only, of resolution 900X900 max.
You MUST include the history of your photoshop or GIMP or other processing software steps in detail. To do this please click here How To Document & Post Your Processing Steps from History Photoshop CS, Gimp Software
If the original capturing author asks, please send them a high quality Tif/Tiff file as a courtesy to their original work so they can benefit from your resulting processing.

5) We allow the following formats and sizes:
Fit
Fits
Tiff
Tif
Max Resolution: 8000x8000
Max Size: 25.7 mb (we can increase this to 50mb)
6) To add the file you must include it as an attachment, To do this please click Go Advanced on the bottom right of your window while creating the thread. Click on Manage Attachments. Click Browse and select your Tiff, Tif, Fit, Fits, from your hard drive location and click Upload. Wait until the upload has completed, it may take a few seconds to minutes depending on the MB size of the file.
7) If your file is over 25 mb, you can either A) decrease its resolution or B) compress the TIF/TIFF file in Photoshop or GIMP in export and/or C) export it as a lower quality bit size in your processing /stacking program.
8) Please only post your stacked & unprocessed image.
Please note you give the right to allow trusted registered members over 20 posts to download and process / modify / change your uploaded file, and our community to host the file. This is a wonderful benefit as it protects your file from being accessed by only our most trusted members of the community. Internet guests, unregistered members and untrusted members will not be able to view or download your file. 
And you can include a CC 3.0 Attribution UnPorted License or other license if you wish - please note this in your thread and you can generate your license here from CC:
