    Great image ( cant see #2 sadly ) . When ya try out the L lens , stop it down a bit rather than use f1.4

    Why? I would think the largest aperture would be the most helpful. Granted, the focus will have to be spot on, but focus always has to be fine-tuned anyway before shooting. Would it be that much trickier than focusing at prime focus?

    According to the light pollution map, I'm in a yellow zone (just outside the border of an orange zone). My visual limiting magnitude is about 6.0-6.5 (depending on direction).
