Smile First EP photos of saturn

This is my first attempt at capturing Saturn.
Photos taken on a Pentax Optimo M40 hand held at the eyepiece of my scope.
(Hyperion zoom at 7mm, 8" Orion Optics Dob). While they aren't the best images of Saturn you'll see, I'm pleased with the results as it's a tricky technique!

    Nice pictures.
Why does Saturn look a little flat like an oval?

    Thanks for all your support.

I'm preparing for next weeks trip to the dark sky site, it'll be a great opportunity to build both my observing and AP skills. I'm getting so excited about it!!!

Had to chuckle at your Pete impression Declan! LOL

Saturn's atmospheric pressure causes the gravity to affect it causing it to be a different shape.

Nice pictures of Saturn there! Very good.
