It really does look like a Christmas tree! And this is the first time I've seen an image of it! Thanks, Gus.

Actually, I think it looked more like a Christmas tree before you colored it in! Great picture Gus, thanks for sharing. Can't wait to hunt that one down myself and see it live. Mike

Nice image of the cluster Gus but even the cluster itself could do with a bit more exposure. With a little more you should be able to get the reflection / dust area quite well.

Here is an image of this area I am still working on. I am hopeful of getting a few hours of Ha tonight and maybe finish it off a bit.
My Christmas tree is diferent to yours.

Keep at it, your coming along nicely.

Thanks Doug, unfortunately I took that in the city no way I will be getting much dust clouds like your wonderful shot even with long exposures. That shot was not autoguided, and either way I have tried and you get a very bright shot with even a 1 minute exposure without filters guided. I may invest in narrowband filters, but it will be a long while until i can afford the $200 per filter cost x3 filters.

I will try to get a few things in that cluster, and the rosette and other nebulae in our dark sky location however we hardly visit there. Even a 10 second shot there will get a lot of details in that location.
