    Default Getting most out of stargazing + astrophotography - Seeking ideas and guidanc

    So - I have a challenge of sorts and need some guidance.

    I live in an area of Bortel rating of 7 - tough gig I know!

    I have the following;
    An Orion SpaceProbe 130ST Equatorial Reflector Telescope
    2x Barlow, 6, 10, 25, 45mm eye peices
    Moon filter
    Secondhand Canon D60 (body only)
    Eyepeice project kit + t-ring

    I'm slowly getting my head round all the kit and how to use them but I'm struggling with how far to take things.
    I would like to get into astrophotography but this requires a different thought process and also slightly different kit.
    I'm not a pro (yet) so don't want to be spending silly money.

    What I am trying to understand is (a) is what I have suffiencient to expand into planetary and deep sky astrophotography, (b) if so, is there anything that could enhance my kit with reasonable investment and (c) is pure stargazing through a telescope AND astrophotography mutually exclusive?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!
