    Default M88 and M91 wide field



    These Virgo Cluster galaxies are just northeast of the more famous Markarian Chain. M88 an 91 together with NGCs 4459/68/74 to the west and NGC 4571 to the east form a sort-of chain too. Many other NGCs and ICs in the image too, maybe another dozen. Imaged with AT80LE doublet APO and ZWO ASI1600MC-cool camera riding on my bigdog while it was exposing M88.



    Specifics; APO 80 with flattener, ASI1600MC-cool at -20C, gain 200, offset 50, 36/2 min exposures, UV/IR filter (e.g. LUM filter). Captured and stacked in Nebulosity, post process in PS CS5, final image 25% full size to get all in the post, and edge cropped a few pixels.

    Lots more to process, you got to love galaxy season even small scopes can have fun,
