    Default M16 The Eagle Nebula

This is 28 x 300 secs at ISO 200 with my Nikon D5300 on my ED80 + 0.8 reducer + IDAS D1 LP filter. This was calibrated with Flats and Bias files. The moon was at around 73% and M16 was making its way up through the city halo adding to the usual excuses lol. I have to say, this is the first proper image with the D5300 and I am pretty darn chuffed with the performance of the camera. I have provided a wide field and a cropped version for you all. I'm pretty happy with this image for the limited TOT...I hope you'll like it too. C & C always welcome.

    Thanks for looking

I'd be really happy with that one, too! I'm not sure if I would be "chuffed". (Not sure if I have ever been "chuffed". ) But, yeah, the image has very fine detail and holds up well with the crop.

    Nice one!

Well, you should be chuffin chuffed with your Omega image. I know I'd be chuffin happy with just the opportunity to image the great omega globular cluster and over the chuffin moon if I managed to get a decent image of it. Thanks, Joe
