    Beautiful Richard - absolutely love the detail. Pretty cool that you 3D printed an adapter too. I guess the material must be fairly stable thermally and not impact the focus in anyway due to contraction or expansion?

    Thanks G, yeah it’s very cool to be able to just create the exact part I needed, 20 mins to design and a 30 mins to print the piece
    I used PETG plastic, no idea about the thermal properties, but it’s just to connect up the motor so not something that’d affect focus. That said, if it did then the autofocus routine itself would correct for it

    The image highlights the various dust lanes very well. This has to be one of the best M81 images I've seen on the forum.
