    Default moon image



    Hi

    This is another moon image i taken last night its ok but i dont know how to get rid of that soft edge if anyone has any ideas of how to i would be very greatful here it is

    Is this a stacked image? We can help if we know how you captured and processed this image.
    First impression is that maybe the exposure time was a little short or the focus a tad off but we'll see...

UHC/LPR, OIII, UV/IR cut filters . Flip mirror. 5 mW green Laser pointer. Telrad donated to Rick18704-Lots of hope. Lousy skies.

    I ran it through pipp and then registax it wouldn’t work through autostackert for some reason that’s maybe why it looks soft

    Sorry yes, I should have read your earlier posts !
    I notice you have a 80 A short tube and a 2 barlow and a T 3i.
    I would start with this combo just to keep it simple on a single image.
    The 3 Ti has that lovely flip out screen which makes focusing easier especially on the moon using the live view magnification.
    Probably best to refine your focus and exposure time this way before moving up to the airy heights of video, stacking and processing.
    A well focused single image on your set up should look better than your current, still good, shot.
