Default DSLR Deep Sky Imaging: Rosette

The Rosette Nebula (NGC2237) is large emission nebula in the constellation Monoceros about 5000 light-years from Earth. Among the gas and dust are several star forming regions including the center open star cluster, NGC2244. This my first time out in several months due to eqiupment issues. There was some relatively mild weather for January so I stayed and got a lot of time on this image. Here is my version of the Rosette Nebula:

    Canon 6D modified

    Thanks,

I was expecting this to be a great image and I wasn't disappointed. That is a superb Rosette you have captured there, Bill.

Really nice Bill. You also captured a great deal of the low-level nebulosity surrounding this beauty. Well done.
