Default The Horsehead Nebula and Flame Nebula in Orion

Its good to be back doing AP after 5 months waiting for my new gear to be delivered and testing stuff. This is the 1st project with my new setup. Almost everything here is new except for the coma corrector. I have recently self modded the DSLR and the H alpha sensitivity was notably increased with it. I think its the main reason for the nice red color i was unable to achieve with the unmoded camera before.

I need to get darks and bias frames again since the camera is modded and using an external power source without the battery. Also i forgot to take flats before removing the DSLR from OTA so no calibration frames for this image. still it was very easy to edit with minimal effort probably due to high quality subs taken under dark skies.

Great image! The flame is nicely coloured and stars seem well controlled. No calibration files with the Nikon? Sweet

Very nice indeed... (Signed or not... )
The color difference between the flame and the curtain behind the HH is perfect.
Too many times I see images with them looking nearly the same color. This is how they are supposed to look.
Did you use photometric color calibration on this?
    Well Done!
