    Default NGC 2467 nebula in Puppis



    First image for 2019 // Managed to get about an hour on this one:

    17 x 180s C8 on EQ-G with X-A1




    Well, actually I took enough frames for 2 hours but had to chuck many. Too many passing clouds...

    Anyway, this is definitely an improvement over my first attempt last year.

    I think it looks pretty good Joe but it does appear to have a slight reddish orange cast to the background stars.

    I did not notice that. Thanks for pointing it out. I have to be a little more careful with processing color.

    I like the image. The star color can be fixed if you want to revisit, but the image stands pretty well as is.

    very nice, is this the skull and crossbones nebula ? ps. even though the image isn't perfect, i really enjoyed viewing a nebula i haven't seen before, thanks for posting.
