Default Wheat Silos and Milky Way

Second in my drought-breaker series, the sky was a little more open in this image taken earlier tonight.

This is a wonderful image, Joe.
    I love everything about it!
I like very much the distortion you have left in the silo's. It imparts a sense of motion to the scene. :-)
    Thank you for sharing this.
I am also interested in your settings.

    Marvelous image. :-)

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments.

JRKirkhham and Don Quixote both asked about settings.
    Nothing special.
    Pentax K1, ISO 800 . Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens. 60s @ f3.5.
Single image processed in Lightroom & Photoshop.

The location is very dark, no exterior lighting and 30 km to the nearest town, lights from the town can be seen on the cloud behind the silos. Only ambient lighting comes from passing traffic. In some exposures without any passing vehicles, the silos were dark silhouette against the sky. But if headlights were involved, it was too much and lots of lens flare. Light on the towers in this image was obtained by timing the start of the exposure just as a large B-double road train had passed and terminating before another came up.

A B-Double is a prime mover truck with an articulated semi-trailer towing another full length trailer - not sure if the same terminology is used in other countries. They are lit up like Christmas trees. It was braking and indicating to turn and so had a mix of a lot of red and amber lights.

    Cheers

    Joe

Wow very nice image. Like the silos. Yep b doubles also in australia in towns, where as road trains with a third trailer are only in outback rural areas. All lit up as you said....

Very nice image. Up my way the trucks you describe are called "Super B's". I am in a rural farming area, but sadly the elevators (what you Silos) all seem to have mounted lights. Sadly this makes doing nightscapes near to impossible....
