    Default NGC 246 -- a ghostly nebula

I had a super frustrating night trying to do M16 (for about the 10th time). My nemesis.

Anyway, I finally figured out that the cable connecting the guide camera to the mount had somehow managed to wiggle itself free. I kept wondering why PHD2 told me: "Failed -- star did not move!"

I got finally got some frames for M16 but it turns out the the UHC filter I was using is NOT a good filter to use with this nebula.

By then it was too late to do anything with my planned target. As a lark, I slewed to this one and cranked up PHD2. I was pleasantly surprised.
